PAYMENT OPTIONS

Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe, LLC currently accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER CARD, and PayPal.  All orders must be placed on our secure online catalogue. 

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING CHARGES?

Orders are shipped from Washington State. All orders shipped to Washington State addresses will incur any applicable sales taxes. Shipping and handling charges are based on order weight. Our online catalogue is designed to automatically calculate the weight of your order. It then displays air or surface shipping and handling rates to your zip code via USPS or UPS, according to your preference. To view shipping charges, simply add an item to the shopping cart, select checkout, then select estimate shipping charges. Unlike other online merchants, we do not base shipping charges on the amount of your purchase. This way, you do not pay more for shipping one skein of cashmere or other higher priced yarn than you would for one skein of cotton or other inexpensive yarn.

ARE ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS IN STOCK?

Yes.  Our secure, on-line catalogue has inventory control measures in place.  The item description lists the exact inventory level for each product.  If a product is listed as in stock on our website, it is in fact in stock and ready for shipment.  If an item is not in stock, you will not be able to check out. If an item is out of stock, and you want to know when it will be back in stock, e-mail us.

CAN YOU WIND MY YARN INTO SKEINS?

No.  Our packers do not have access to skein winders in the warehouse.

WHEN WILL MY CREDIT CARD BE CHARGED?

Your credit card is charged immediately upon placing the order.

CAN I MAKE ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO MY ORDER?

No.  Once your order is placed, no additions, changes, or cancellations can be processed.  If you need to purchase more items, you will need to place a new order.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Once payment has been verified, your ordered will be packed and shipped immediately. All orders are generally shipped within 24-48 hours of payment, excluding holidays and weekends.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE UNDELIVERABLE/RETURNED PACKAGES?

Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe, LLC cannot be held responsible for missing goods if an incorrect delivery address was provided by you at the time of your order. To insure that your package is delivered safely, please check  your postal address details very carefully before you confirm your order.

If your order is returned to us because it is deemed undeliverable, we cannot re-ship it at our expense.  In this event, we will contact you, and give you the option of either having the order re-shipped at your expense, or cancelled. If you opt to cancel the order, then the value of the goods, exclusive shipping and handling charges, will be credited to your vintageknits.net customer account as store credit.

RETURN POLICY

These are vintageknits.net’s (“Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe,” “Vintage Knits,” “we” or “our”) Standard Return Policies applicable only to products purchased by you directly from the vintageknits.net website.

All products returned require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  You may obtain an RMA number by contacting Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe Customer Service through email as provided at the vintageknits.net website.  If you send back items without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, or items that are ineligible for return, you will be given the option to have said items shipped back to you at your expense or disposed of as we see fit.

(1)  General Return Policy

Returnable Items. 
Full price and 5% discounted yarns, notions and tools in original (saleable) condition may be returned for a store credit, exclusive of all shipping charges, within 30 days of purchase.  Vintageknits.net sells many products regularly discounted at 5%.  We consider this in our full price category, and are treated as such for our return policy. The store credit will be applied to your vintageknits.net customer account, and can be used toward future purchases.

Non-Returnable Items.
Sale items, clearance items, wound/used yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, dyes, special order items, and gift certificates are not returnable.  A sale or clearance item is an item discounted more than 5%.

We're sorry, but due to copyright laws, we do not accept book, software, magazine, pattern, or pattern booklet returns.

We do not make "exchanges.” 
Returns and new purchases are treated as two separate transactions. When we process your return, we will post a credit to your vintageknits.net customer account for the value of your returned goods, exclusive of all shipping charges, and notify you via email as soon as the credit has been posted. You can apply this credit to a future order. Credit cannot be applied retroactively to an order already in progress.

(2)   Claims For Incorrect Items or Shortages

At Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe, LLC we are very careful in filling our orders. But, if you receive the incorrect item, notify us within 48 hours of receipt. If we make a mistake, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, and issue you a postage credit for the return of the incorrect merchandise that you received. All product returned must be unused, unopened, yarn labels intact, and in original (saleable) condition.  Once the merchandise is returned, we will ship you the correct items that you ordered. You will not incur any additional shipping charges. Any goods supplied in error by Vintage Knits Wool Shoppe, LLC will be replaced at our expense.

If there is a claim of a shortage (missing item) in your order, notify us within  48 hours of receipt.  If there is a shortage in your order, the missing item will be shipped to you at no costs.

(3)   Claims Regarding Yarn Color and Expectations

All yarn sold by vintageknits.net is new, and received directly from our distributors.  We will ship you one dye lot, unless you order two different dye lots.

Hand dyed yarn is an art not a science.  It is not unusual for skeins to contain one or more knots. Additionally, skeins may vary within one dye lot with respect to color(s), and may vary from shipment to shipment.  When knitting with multicolored or hand dyed yarn, the knitter may need to alternate every few rows between two skeins to get a more even color pattern.  The knitter may wish to start knitting at a specific color point in the skein to have a more closely matched sock or knitted section.

Complaints regarding skeins matching, dye jobs or knots in skeins are not defects.  They do not prevent you from knitting with or completing a project with the yarn so long as you follow the manufacturer's recommendations.  Thus, yarn may not be returned as defective for complaints of skeins matching, dye jobs or knots in skeins.  They can however be returned if said yarn is unused, and in original (saleable) condition, and falls within the parameters of our general return policy, as provided in paragraph 1 above. 

(4)  Claims For Damaged/Defective Items

If you receive an item that has been damaged in shipment, or is otherwise defective, contact us withing 48 hours of receipt of the shipment to explain the problem and receive a RMA (if applicable) for return of said product.  Once we receive the returned item and verify that it is in fact damaged or defective, we will replace the item at our expense and issue you a credit for return shipping to us.

Books, knitting needles, and other generally nonreturnable items will be replaced if defective or damaged in shipment with the exact same item.  They cannot be returned for store credit or item substitutions.  Yarn complaints involving skeins matching, dye jobs or knots in skeins are subject to the limitations provided in paragraph 3 above, and are not returnable under this paragraph as defective.

If we receive a returned item that is in fact not damaged or defective, no replacement will be shipped to you.  You will have the option of having the item shipped back to you at your expense.  If you choose not to pay to have the item shipped back to you, it will be disposed of as we see fit.

(5)   How to Return Products

Once you receive your RMA, package your items to be returned, include a copy of your sales receipt, and write the RMA on the outside of the package so that it is clearly visible.  Package the return carefully.  It has to arrive here in new condition for us to be able to accept it
